New paint on the exterior in Feb of 2011
| Our apartment building has a rich history. It has a different
floor plan than most apartment buildings.
Originally a service building and used as a shared community and then as a "flophouse" like a hostel. it had one dinning hall and shared bathrooms on each floor. Very European like. Eventually the whole structure was reconstructed to give each unit more space and it's own bathroom. |

Santa Monica - Views from the Bluff just 7 blocks west of the apartment building.
Left, a view of the world famous Santa Monica Pier. With Plos Verdes in the background. On the right edge you can see a third ship on the Santa Monica bay and Catalina Island in the background. It was a lovely evening when we took this photo of Santa Monica Beach and the Santa Monica Bay.
Right, a sunset view that hardly does justice to the grandeur and colors we watched. The Malibu coastline stretches on and on for miles on the right until it reaches the tip at Point Dume'. The sun is setting over the Santa Monica Bay on a cloudless evening here. On nights with the light clouds that are more common you see wonderful colorful sunsets.
